It's been a month since I started my blog, or just about, and it's really exciting to see the traffic it's gotten, but also the positive feedback since I created the blog and started focusing on me. I'm sure I'll have more milestones in the future, but for now, one month feels pretty good. To cap the month, I've decided to list what I've been listening to this month, in hopes to get you guys interested in a few more things, just like my first post.
Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard

It's as great as it sounds. This podcast has truly changed my life! The whole purpose of the podcast is to focus on "the messiness of the human being." I think that's really great. I also think it helps that Dax Shepard is such a common name, because he's an actor. I also just like that the podcasts are SUPER long. The episodes are over two and a half hours, so I tend to listen to them in segments, but these are great if you're looking for a road trip podcast. I 10/10 recommend this one!
Maroon 5

This can't come as too much of a surprise that I'm a hardcore Maroon 5 fan. I was introduced to them by my sister a few years ago after hearing them on the pop music stations and they honestly do have some good songs!
But, their new song has me HOOKED. Girl Like You is just overall, SUPER catchy. I think most of their songs are, but you can literally make a playlist of their songs for any mood that you're feeling, which is probably why I like them so much. If you're feeling sad, they have sad songs. If you're feeling upbeat and positive, they are another great option to create a playlist for. If you don't listen to pop music all that often, I suggest giving the new single a try, especially if you're a music video type of person. This hits all the criteria for empowering women. PLUS, Cardi B is on it. What's not to love?
Country Coffeehouse Playlist by Spotify

I like to include one of these playlists, because I think it's important to realize how much you can actually get done with music. Everyone focuses differently, and I usually listen to classical music with no words if I'm studying, but I'm really started to like this new playlist from Spotify!
Spotify describes it as "low-key country," but it's really just a lot of slower songs with less rock and roll or pop vibes, which make it easy to study to. It's got Old Dominion, Brett Young, Jewel, Miranda Lambert; it really is a good playlist if you like country and want to relax. I've only been listening to it for about a week but it's definitely hitting all the marks.
Is there anything new that you're listening to? Let me know! I'm always looking for new stuff.
